Low-particle-size carbon black. It imparts good abrasion and wear resistance to the elastomer into which it is incorporated. Its medium structure ensures good processability.
It is a standard carbon black used in many tire applications and is generally used as a reference in tread wear tests against other carbon blacks.
It performs well in tire treads that require better resistance to wear and cuts than that offered by the ASTM N 300 series. It offers excellent extrusion characteristics and easy dispersion during processing.
